WHO WE ARE

Antarctica, Papua New Guinea and Cuba. Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia. The very sources of the Ganges and the Blue Nile. The Bhutan-Bangladesh border. The Egypt-Sudan border. Volcanoes, islands, atolls and rough waters at open sea.

You name an exotic, picturesque location and most likely we have already filmed there. Taking Brazilian talent to the roads less travelled and delivering world-class expedition, adventure and outdoor lifestyle content to partners from all over the globe, we can say “we’ve been to places”. And, perhaps even more important, we’ve always gone back home safely, with relevant and breathtaking material in our hard drives.

CINEMAURO is a production company based in Rio de Janeiro with extensive experience in developing, producing and delivering nonfiction content - such as TV series and documentaries - shot all over Brazil and in more than 100 countries around the world.
In recent years we have produced an average of seven original series per year for our main client Canal OFF / Globosat and in 2016 we received the **“Partners That Excell” Award **as a recognized top partner for Brazil’s main cable network Globosat.

CINEMAURO was brought together more than ten years ago by:
Experienced producers Júlio Mauro and Caetano di Mauro, who come from the third generation of Brazilian filmmaking pioneer Humberto Mauro’s family. At CINEMAURO, they have crafted literally hundreds of pieces for broadcast, including official host city videos for FIFA’s World Cup in 2014 and several travelogue and short documentaries for Brazilian and international partners.

Júlio Mauro is a filmmaker, musician, producer and director, with specialization in direct sound and with over 25 years of audiovisual experience, having received international awards for his work. Nephew-grade of the filmmaker and father of Brazilian cinema Humberto Mauro, Júlio Mauro works in various projects and in different formats for various Brazilian and international television channels, as well as feature films, short and medium footage.
