The rower Karina Vela travels along the most extensive river on the planet, the Nile River. The adventure begins at the mouth of the river in Alexandria, crosses all of Egypt and part of the Sudan, traversing the mountains of Ethiopia.

Ep.01 - Rashid
SUP athlete Karina Vela arrives in Cairo, Egypt, to begin her new adventure on the Nile. She heads to Rashid, where she takes a boat to explore the Nile River for the first time.

Ep.02 - Rosetta Stone
Before taking leave of the city of Rashid in Cairo, Karina visits the place where the Rosetta Stone was discovered, and appreciates the late afternoon at the point where the Nile flows into the Mediterranean Sea.

Ep.03 - Pyramids of Giza
Karina explores the region of "Old Cairo" and immerses herself in Egyptian culture. She then goes to the famous Pyramids of Giza to learn more about these historic buildings.

Ep.04 - Sahara Desert
Karina goes to the Sahara Desert and paddles on her SUP board for the first time on the journey, Lake Abbar, one of the lakes that comes from the Nile.

Ep.05 - Egypt
Karina makes a long trip to Luxor, Egypt. Karina flies for the first time and enjoys the day to visit ancient temples and delve into the culture and history of the place.

Ep.06 - Aswan
Karina takes a moment of her boat trip to put her SUP in the water and paddle through the living waters of the Nile River.

Ep.07 - Temple of Abu Simbel
Karina visits the Temple of Abu Simbel, before bidding farewell to Egypt and continuing her journey. Karina heads towards Sudan, accompanied by her local guides, Yussef Karmla and Khaled Amin, and makes the ferry crossing on a border crossing, exploring the Nile River and local culture.

Ep.08 - Sudan
Upon arriving in Sudan, Karina makes her first stop on Sai Island, where she interacts and plays ball with local people. Along with the guides who accompany you, visit churches and ruins scattered throughout the desert. Karina enters the Nile River to paddle with her SUP board, even alerted to the presence of crocodiles in the water.

Ep.09 - Old Dongola
Karina arrives in the city of Old Dongola in Sudan, a small and simple city, surrounded by ruins and buildings from the past centuries. Karina immerses herself in the essence of the local people and participates in a party in the middle of the desert, with the right to present poetry, Nubian music and lots of dance.

Ep.10 - El Kurru
Karina arrives in the town of Karima in northern Sudan accompanied by her local guide,
Yussef Karmla. At dawn, Karina climbs the Jebel Barkal Mountain and witnesses a beautiful of the Nile River. Explore ancient pyramids, and visit El Kurru, one of the cemeteries used by the royal family of Nubia.

Ep.11 - Pyramids of Meroé
Karina visits the Pyramids of Meroé, one of the best preserved buildings in the region.
Then driving the desert inside, the team arrives at the Temple of Musawwarat, a historical place that Karina has the privilege of appreciating with no one around. Arriving in Khartoum, capital of Sudan, Karina spends the afternoon watching a wrestling championship.

Ep.12 - Khartoum
Karina visits a camel buying center, and then the Ondurman market, the country's largest market. Know a little more about local customs and try the typical foods. Arriving at the meeting point of the White Nile with the Nile Blue, Karina enjoys an exciting time with her guide, Yussef Karmla.

Ep.13 - Ethiopia
Leaving Sudan behind, Karina arrives in the city of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Then,
following the trip to the town of Gish Abay, the staff prepares the stalls and resolves
camping by the way. At dawn, the local guide, Ashenafi Sileshi, takes Karina to one of the most sacred places in all Africa, the source of the Nile.

Ep.14 - Lake Tana
Karina knows one of the most important markets of the country, which is in the nearby city of Gish Abay. He then goes to Lake Tana to visit the Betremariam monastery, filled with paintings and historical writings. Leaving the Nile River, Karina arrives at the foot of the Blue Nile Falls, one of the largest waterfalls in Africa. And back to Lake Tana, Karina paddles with her SUP board with hippos around her.

Ep.15 - Lalibela
Karina goes on a trip with the local guide, Ashu, towards the city of Lalibela,
Ethiopia. On the way, they visit the village of Awra Amba, where Karina makes a donation of school materials for children and get excited about the community. Already in Lalibela, Karina visits the church that honors St. George and reflects on how spiritual and enlightening have been your journey.
